The worn parts (linings) of large buses and trucks’ drum brakes are attached with rivets (like bolts and nuts, which cannot be removed with tools). When replacing the lining, these rivets are punched out and removed, and then crimped (caulked = crimped to prevent removal) when the new lining is installed.
This work is usually done by a large stationary machine, which requires many years of skill and the strength to hold a heavy brake, but with our machine, even an amateur can easily do the work as long as it is placed on a desk or table.
