Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do I use it?

A. Cut a peeled daikon radish into pieces less than 11 cm in length, and insert the center of the radish into the rotary shaft. (To prevent the tip of the spindle from hitting your hand, tap it with the palm of your hand and push it in.) When the switch is turned on, the blade base and the spindle move at the same time and the daikon is automatically cut.
If you remove the comb blade, you can peel daikon radishes. Please use daikon radishes up to 12 cm in diameter.

Q. What is the rated usage time?

A. About 30 minutes. If used for a long time, the motor temperature may rise and the motor may be damaged, causing the machine to stop.

Note: Thermal protector function is not provided.

Q. What is the processing capacity?

A. The machine can process one daikon radish per minute. 30 minutes of continuous use is possible, so approximately 30 daikon radishes can be processed.

Q. How is it washed?

A. Remove the comb blade and flat blade from the blade stand and wash them with water. (For the comb blade, loosen the knob nut, and for the flat blade, loosen and remove the three screws.)
Wipe off any dirt on the main unit with a tightly wrung cloth.

*Water entering the motor and switch may cause a malfunction. Never pour water on the motor/switch.
Blades are dangerous, so please wash them with the brush provided. (If you wash the comb blade from the front, both the blade and the brush will be damaged, so please wash from the back.)
Use a mild detergent. Do not use a dryer or boiling water.

Q. Can the blade be polished?

A. Some people grind flat blades, but not comb blades.

Q. What is the size of the kirisai?

A. The standard size is 1mm thick and 1mm wide (1 x 1). The thickness is fixed at 1mm and cannot be changed. The width can be changed by using a comb blade (sold separately).
