Q. How do I use it?
A. Cut washed burdocks into 35cm pieces and insert them into the burdock holder. Turn the switch “ON” and the burdock will rotate and automatically cut the burdock. With the switch on the holder, you can change between slicing the burdocks into thin strips and diagonal slices.
Q. What is the rated usage time?
A. About 15 minutes. If the machine is used for a long time, the motor temperature will rise and the machine will automatically stop. (Thermal protector function)
Please wait for about 30 minutes for the motor temperature to cool down.
It is better to turn off the power before the motor stops automatically to avoid stressing the motor.
Q. What is the processing capacity?
A. About 2 burdocks can be processed per minute. (It depends on the thickness and length of the burdocks to be cut.)
Q. How do I wash the machine?
A. Remove the slide unit and blade cover, and then remove the blade and blade disk. Wash the blade cover, blade and blade disk in water. Wipe off any dirt on the main unit and slide unit with a tightly wrung cloth.
*Water entering the motor and switch section may cause malfunction. Never pour water on them.
Use a neutral detergent. Do not use a dryer or boiling water.
Q. How do I adjust the thickness?
A. Remove the blade cover and loosen the blade disk and positioning ring with the supplied screwdriver.
Slide the blade disk back and forth to determine the thickness. (The blade position does not change. The clearance between the blade and the blade disk is the cutting thickness.)
Finally, tighten the bolts on the blade disk firmly.
Q. Can carrots be cut into small pieces?
A. Yes, if it is large enough to fit in the feed port. The carrots up to 4 cm in diameter can be placed in the slot.
Q. Can you make fine sasagaki?
A. If you cut a slit in the burdock in advance, you can make very fine sasagaki.
Q. How do I adjust the length of the cut?
A. The length depends on the thickness of the vegetable. (For normal burdocks, it is 3 to 4 cm.)
Adjust the length by loosening the two bolts fixing the feed port and moving the feed port back and forth. (Tilting forward…shortens the length. Tilting it backward…makes it longer.)
