Heat Exchangers, Industrial Machinery, Refrigeration & Heat Exchange EquipmentPlate fin heaters Heat exchangers for heating and drying equipment – Katsukawa Thermal Engineering Co. Ltd.
Ideal for process air conditioning.
Plate fin heaters have a larger fin area than elofin heaters, which results in fewer tubes, making them compact, lightweight, and inexpensive. Currently, they are in greater demand than elophine heaters. Plate fin heaters, like elophine heaters, are mainly used for heating air (gas) and are incorporated in air conditioners, drying facilities, and drying equipment. The structure consists of a tube (heat-transfer tube) with a coil element made by pressing (press-fitting) thin sheets of various metals into the tube, which is welded to a tube bundle (header) and installed in a steel plate duct-type casing.

Are you looking for a heat exchanger product?
When selecting a heat exchanger for your company’s needs, there are several important points to consider during the comparison and evaluation process.Common Comparison Points for Any Product
1. Heat Transfer Efficiency
Evaluate the heat transfer efficiency of the heat exchangers. Look for equipment that offers high thermal conductivity and effective heat exchange capabilities. Consider factors such as the heat transfer coefficient, surface area, flow path design, and overall design efficiency of the heat exchanger.
2. Application Requirements
Determine the specific requirements of your application. Identify the heat load, temperature range, pressure range, and fluid compatibility requirements. Ensure that the selected heat exchanger can handle the thermal conditions and fluid properties of your application effectively.
3. Size and Space Constraints
Consider the physical size and space constraints of the heat exchanger. Evaluate the available space in your facility or equipment and choose a heat exchanger that fits within those dimensions. Also, consider the heat exchanger’s weight, orientation, and any installation or maintenance clearance requirements.
4. Flow Rate and Pressure Drop
Assess the flow rate and pressure drop characteristics of the heat exchanger. Evaluate the heat exchanger’s ability to handle the required fluid flow rates while maintaining an acceptable pressure drop. High flow rates and excessive pressure drops can impact system performance and efficiency.
5. Material Selection
Consider the materials used in the construction of the heat exchanger. Look for materials that are suitable for your application, considering factors such as corrosion resistance, temperature resistance, and compatibility with the fluids being processed.
