Rheometer composite unit HFRU – HighFrequency ViscoElasticity Corporation


The HFRU can measure viscoelasticity using ultrasonic waves while applying low-frequency vibration and rotation.

It can measure megahertz viscoelasticity under large strain, which has not been possible until now, and is expected to enable the understanding of nonlinear viscoelastic properties of high-functioning fluids under shear. Simultaneous measurement with rheometer function is possible.
Not only bulk properties, but also surface megahertz viscoelasticity can be measured if the loss is large.
