The POLARIE U is an ultra-compact automatic star tracking device that can easily be transported. In addition to functions of conventional star trackers that move a camera for long exposure according to the diurnal motion of the celestial objects, it features a function for customizing rotation speeds using a smartphone and can control the intervals of shots by adjusting the shutter release. By linking the motion of the POLARIE U with the shutter release, you can easily set up complex shooting controls required for interval photography and time-lapse photography with your smartphone.

Vixen SD apochromatic refractors feature “”Super extra-low Dispersion”” optical glass in its objective lens. The SD81SII has a ring spacer around the objective lens to make the diffraction pattern of stars visible equally for more refined star images in astrophotography. With the use of an SD reducer HD kit or SD Flattener HD kit, the image circle of 44 mm in diameter is obtained to be used for photography with DSLR cameras with full-frame imaging sensors.

It is the successor to the favorably reviewed SD103S as a photo-visual optical tube that is the SD series of apochromatic refractors. With an aperture of 103mm and a focal length of 795mm, you can use it for a wide variety of purposes, from visual observation to astrophotography. We changed the spacers used around the outer periphery of the objective lens from three pieces of foil fragment to the shape of a ring to uniform the diffraction light of star image. It has obtained you a more beautiful star imae. In combination with an optional SD Flattener HD Kit and an optional SD Reducer HD Kit, it develops into a high-performance astrograph providing an image circle of 44mm suitable for a camera/CMOS camera with a full frame imaging sensor.
