A Machine Born of a Labor Shortage
Everyone who works in the kitchen knows how difficult it is to peel onions. The restaurant where we developed this product also had great difficulty in recruiting part-timers to process onions for use in the restaurant. In order to avoid the smell and roughness peculiar to onions and to solve the labor shortage, we started to develop our own machine to automate the processing. After more than 10 years of work to save space and speed up the process, the “TAMAJIRO” automatic peeling machine was finally born. It is now possible to remove the roots and capsules of onions and peel them in an instant.
