CD Dryer – NISHIMURA WORKS co. ltd.

HIGH PERFORMANCE LIQUID DRYING AND CONCENTRATING

In the quest to produce a high-performance and high-efficiency liquid dryer, Nishimura Works succeeded in making one that is also a space saver. We recommend the use of our original product, the CD Dryer, on the production line or for treating waste liquids, to companies looking for ways to reduce costs and other excess.

ABOUT THE CD DRYER

The CD Dryer uses indirect heat to dry materials through conduction. The principles are similar to drum dryers or the cylinder dryers used for paper production, but instead of drying on the curved surface of the drum or cylinder, the CD Dryer dries liquids on both of its flat surfaces.
We raised the overall heat transfer coefficient, making the high performance CD Dryer a revolutionary development in conductive heating-type dryers.
We offer various surface treatments for the disks, making it possible to dry of a wide variety of liquids.

FEATURES

High Performance The CD Dryer has recorded, on average, a capacity two times per m2 higher than conventional type drum dryers(※1) while using a lower steam pressure.
Compact Design Because the CD Dryer dries using both sides of its thin disks, it requires a plane area that is approximately 40% of the area required by a drum dryer. (※2)
Energy Saving/
High Efficiency
Because of its compact design, heat loss is reduced, resulting in an 80 to 85% thermal efficiency.
Speedy The light weight of the heating unit means that even large dryers are ready to dry in 5 minutes.
Less Thermal
Decomposition of Materials
Material damage from exposure to high temperature can be reduced because heating time is as short as 3 to 60 seconds.
Reduction of
Processing Steps
Because it directly dries the liquid and scrapes the residue into a powder, additional processing steps can be eliminated with the CD Dryer.

※1 Based on experiments of over 50 types of liquids

※2 To achieve the same results, only 1/5 the plane area for installation is needed due to the doubled capacity per 1m

OPERATIONAL OVERVIEW

1,Solution from the stock solution tank is supplied to the circulation tank. Flow is controlled by the level sensor.

2,Solution from the circulation tank is pumped through the header and poured over the disk surface.

3,Solution which adheres to the disk surface dries while the disk rotates and is scraped off by the scraper. Excess solution falls back into the circulation tank to be re-supplied.
